Columbus, MS (August 29, 2022) - A collision between two motorcycles and two passenger vehicles left two people dead on Sunday, August 28th.

Reports show that, at about 1:00 a.m., an initial collision between two vehicles prompted a chain reaction crash on US-82 in Columbus.

A vehicle crashed into the back of a motorcycle, shoving it into the rear end of another motorcycle, which then plowed into the back of a car.

26-year-old David Anthony Porter, a resident of Columbus, and 24-year-old Zabria Deana Dodds, later determined to be pregnant, all died in the crash.

Porter was driving the second car involved in the accident. Dodds was his passenger.

One of the motorcyclists was taken to an area hospital in non-critical condition.

The crash is under investigation.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased victims at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
